This class is for gymnasts achieving skills competently within the sapphire section of the National Gymnastics Awards Programme although coaches may assess children prior to this if they feel their development will be better suited in a different class. This session is a 2 hour class allowing more time for advanced recreational skills and essential time for extra strength and flexibility training to ensure the gymnast is safe to perform the skills. The aim of this class for many of our gymnasts is the start of the competitive side of gymnastics where gymnasts showing potential will be given the opportunity to compete at floor and vault competitions.
